Suburban Luxury Meets Vivacious City Excitement in Sherman Oaks

Sherman Oaks, upscale and thriving, is in all the best ways the quintessential "Valley" town and true-life location of suburban LA culture as it has been made famous in TV shows and movies for decades. Nesting into the foothills of the Hollywood Hills and centrally located on the southern edge of the San Fernando Valley, the affluent community enjoys both the peace and scenic green space of luxurious suburban living and easy access to all the amenities, attractions, and excitement that the city of Los Angeles has to offer.

Sherman Oaks is perhaps best known for its 3-mile stretch of Ventura Boulevard, which bustles with a vivacious nightlife scene and excellent restaurants, world-class shopping in three major shopping districts, and outstanding events that draw tens of thousands to the neighborhood. Its real estate, however, also stands apart. With an incredibly diverse selection that includes highrises, pleasant office parks, long-established residential neighborhoods, modern apartment complexes, and almost everything in between, Sherman Oaks is sure to be something for everyone in this walkable, thriving, and charming community.

history and big stars

Home to the Stars

The community had its beginnings in 1911, when General Moses Hazeltine Sherman bought 1,000 acres and in 1927, subdivided it into parcels priced at $780 per acre for both commercial and residential development. Because it was located so close to Hollywood, it was only natural that it would become home to many famous folks, from W.C. Fields, Bing Crosby, and Marilyn Monroe, to Jennifer Aniston, Tom Selleck, and Paris Hilton. It also has star status in its own right, as a location for filming in the movies "Valley Girl," "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," and many more.
