Los Feliz: Unique, Charming & Relaxed

Centrally located in the heart of Los Angeles east of Hollywood, just steps from Thai Town and Little Armenia on Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards, Los Feliz is a surprisingly laid-back and tranquil community. Tucked beneath Griffith Park and the Santa Monica Mountains, it’s a community of winding streets and rolling green hills, of peaceful neighborhoods lined with unique and beautiful homes, and of breathtaking hillside views that stretch over the city and on clear days might reach the coast. There’s even a laid-back vibe to the cafes, shops, and restaurants of its walkable Los Feliz Village, giving the neighborhood a strong community vibe that residents and visitors love.

Here, you’ll discover a hugely diverse range of homes, from the smaller homes rich in character of the bustling Los Feliz Village to the multimillion dollar estates of the Los Feliz Hills, one of LA’s wealthiest neighborhoods. You’ll find hilly, panoramic views and a charming Shakespeare Bridge entryway in Franklin Hills, architecturally and historically significant homes in Laughlin Park, beautiful homes shaded by old oaks in The Oaks and Hollywood Grove, and even unique straight streets, lined only one one side with homes, in Los Feliz Estates. But despite all this diversity, a few things do hold constant across the community—the homes are beautiful, the views breathtaking, and ever home, yard, and street is just a little bit different from its neighbors.

Parks & Outdoor Recreation

No outdoor escape is more popular or well-known than the massive Griffith Park, located directly to the north of Los Feliz. It contains beautiful outdoor pursuits, such as the Roosevelt Golf Course and the iconic Griffith Observatory, which can be reached by bus, or for those in search of an active pursuit, the Berendo Stairs. Hiking, biking, picnicking, or simply enjoying the scenic views are other popular pursuits at the park.

Griffith Park might be the most popular option, but it’s certainly not the only option. Head to the Franklin Hills neighborhood and trek the Franklin Hills Public Stairway System, which consists of 14 public stairways and offers a fun way to exercise while exploring the neighborhood.
