Don’t miss out on any of Altadena’s best attractions! Stroll Christmas Tree Lane, a scenic street lined in 110 of the community’s official tree, the Deodar Cedar. The site is particularly spectacular at Christmastime, when the trees are fabulously lit with thousands of lights. Another holiday point of interest is the Balian Mansion, known throughout the area for its spectacular lighting display.

Trails climb into the San Gabriel Mountains, scaling Mount Lowe, Mount Wilson, and Echo Mountain. Climb the Sam Merrill Trail to view the historic remains of the Mount Lowe Railway and scenic overlooks from the summit of Mount Echo. Traverse the Chaney Trail to the Sunset Ridge Trail and explore the Dawn Mine. Take a walk along the Cobb Trail past the historic Cobb Estate, then climb La Flores Canyon and Echo Mountain.
